Neighbour's dogs

Our main connection with Andrew was because of our dogs, we often met on our walks in the surrounding countryside. His big dog (sorry don't remember their names) was always very friendly and a 'hello' from him was quite an event, leaning against the knees would need good concentration, not to fall over him. The little JRT was lively too and our funniest memory was of it leading our old Border Terrier astray, chasing him around the front garden, a place where Paddy had never ventured to before. That's some years back, but then we had a new rescue Border, the dog from hell, who needed a lot of training to socialize him. Andrew, this brave man, offered help and take him for walks, not something anyone else could or would have managed.
